OUR AREA

Army Aviation, Peanuts, and Wiregrass

Fort Novosel and the military play an important role in our community.  Fort Novosel is the Home of Army Aviation, and the primary base for all Army helicopter training. It is a privilege to have this military training base in the area.

The Wiregrass Area benefits from great public and private school systems, and with higher education campuses such as Troy University-Dothan, Wallace Community College, and the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine, the area provides great opportunities and resources for career training.

Retail shopping and restaurant variety is abundant, and our below average cost of living, excellent health care with two major hospitals, and extensive recreational and cultural activities allows for an environment beneficial to both retirees and growing families alike.
